Alien Upgrades

something strange........

hypothetically, lets say this: aliens have 3 hives, i have just spawned, and have 100/100 resources. (as alien)

now i want to select my upgrades, there are 3 submenus under "upgrade" i goto "sensory" and select cloak, it says "cost 2 points" so i chose it, and now i can cloak. however, i can no longer select anything else in the "sensory" menu, everything says "cost -1 points" and nothing happens when i chose any other upgrade in the sensory menu. it seems that my one click on cloak has given me full cloaking ability as well, no need to upgrade it.

its like this with all upgrade menus, select 1 option in the given submenu, and it says "cost 2 points" then after that, everything says "cost -1 points" and nothing is selectable in that menu until next life.

is it supposed to be like this? i thought aliens have like an "upgrade ladder" where say, you start at lv1 cloak, then have to goto lv2, then lv3, and so on with all of the other upgrades.

Ummm...

The 'level' of the upgrade depends only on how many chambers of that upgrade type you have, up to level 3. You have 1 def chamber, you have lvl 1 defensive upgrades. And you can only have 1 upgrade per category.

Ok see this is how it works, lets say you want to get a defence upgrade, see? like carapace, you only need to evolve it once, the lvl depends on how many defence chambers you have, so if you have 1 defence chamber and evolves carapace it's automaticly lvl 1, if you have two it's lvl 2 and if you have 3 it's lvl 3, get it?

Same with all the other chambers.
