'Til this day, I've said Bush would win. Maybe it was me or I'm just stupid, but I thought it was obvious he would win.

I feel safe knowing he's going to be our president once again. Sure he's not the best at speaking, but he's a good man and a damned good president

Besides, y'know, the whole thing about lying and distorting evidence. And also pandering to the rich and denying his mistakes. Other than that, he's good.

I wouldn't really care if he gets elected again because i live in Australia, but he might do something and tell our dumb arse prime minister to follow like a sheep.

Your opinion means nothing to me. Anyways, I'd rather have the president be someone who states what he is planning on doing instead of just acting like he knows everything and he will make everything perfect.

Good, glad to know we feel the same way about each other.

Oh, and an edit just for funbags: Stop making assumptions, you know the saying. I hate Moore and I've never seen any of his movies or read any of his propagandistic books. My opinion of Bush is based solely on my own observations and upon reading numerous left AND right wing articles/books. So stop it.

And Mullet, I'm ending this here because neither of us wants to get banned. Suffice to say neither of us will convince the other of the truth of our argument, and it's done.

(Gadzuko, Mullet, pardon me for using you two as an example, but it's convenient to do so to demonstrate to anyone posting).

This sort of attitude of both sides towards each other doesn't make for friendly conversation. If you're going to talk politics, either be nice, or do it in the Discussion forums, where if you're bad I can restrict you from just there instead of having to tempsuspend you from the whole board.

On second thought, God help you. I'm moving - already have job offers up north.

At least I won't be drafted when Iran... no, Syria (America doesn't have the balls to attack a nuclear power, and I don't blame us) gets occupied and thousands more die needlessly.

    Honestly?

Despite voting for Kerry, I'm a little relieved that Bush won. Now instead of wondering if I would live to 2008, I know for a fact that I will die before then. Less anxiety, now all we have to figure out is how we are all going to die...

And yes, I am dead serious. These are my honest feelings right now at 1:00AM

More along the lines of that the only thing keeping him tempered before was the hope of election. If he wins this time, it's doubtful we'll come out of 'terror alert' mode until we're a glowing crater.

Here's to hoping that the ballots are actually counted before a decision is made... maybe we'll have an elected president, rather than an appointed one.

Personally, I'd rather move to the moon. I don't believe in manifest destiny, as many of those who've commented here apparently do. Agreeing with monkey-boy's 'plan'.

Otherwise, I'll just chalk you down as another one of the millions of people who whinge about something, never do anything about it, then forget about it until the issue comes up again. Personally?
