    Herm, from the looks of it, it seems like bad news. Unless gigabyte have some special way of getting it done then the bios is screwed. If they cant replace your bios chip then the mobo is screwed.

    The Mobo cannot update the bios because it doesn't know what it's doing. It's bios has been lost so it doesn't know how to opperate the processor and initialize it's clock cycle. It also doesn't know how to work any of the things attatched to it like the floppy drives, hard drives, etc. The chances of getting that bios fixed are slim to none.
