Well you just have to poke an admin to create one.

I admit that betavote is quite distorted , but the trend in most online polls is Kerry winning by a large majority.

I've been hearing a lot of discontent (mildly in this thread, a lot on the others) with the 2 candidates that we get to choose from. This partly has to do with the ignorance of our political system. Hint, if you don’t like the candidates, pick the party you generally side with the most and participate in the primary election/caucuses, you have 9 choices.

If you lean left, you had a choice between anti-war pro government (close to socalist) Kucinich/Dean to moderate lefties Kerry/Lieberman.

If Kerry is moderate I am Hillary Clinton. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Considering the other choice; Denis kusinch, Al sharpton, Howard dean etc, yes kerry would be considered a moderate in that group.

Personally i wish Howard Dean won. It would make more of an interesting presidential race.. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Not really, while those candidates are very anti-war (In fact, I like how they can stick to their ideals unlike a certain democratic nominee) Their social policies and beliefs are often more to the right of Kerry.

left vs right is a horrible way to judge a candidate alone, but it can be used to get a perspective of where his opinions are coming from and how he will likely act in office.

Agreed. One thing i respect of those nominees is that they do stick to their beliefs; there are no qualms about their policy when they do get in office. As for their social. What are some of their social positions that are deemed "right"? I know Kucinich, Al Sharpton and Dean (I think) believe in **** marriage (or at least leaving it up to the states). They all find abortion OK. The only nominee that was right socially from what I saw was Joseph Lieberman. I watched the nominee debates, I couldn't really determine what their social policy is since they spent 3/4's of the time bashing Bush playing to the crowd.

Economic, well that’s kinda easy. Want more taxes. Seem to think more money in public schools will fix things. Want to pursue a more protectionist stance when coming to free trade (Kucinich wants to completely abolish NAFTA). More government in healthcare. The list is endless.

Foreign policy consists of holding hands with other countries rubbing their back hoping they rub ours. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/nerd-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
