I just restarted steam for the hell of it, and it reconnected then said "Unlocking HL2 files". Then when I clicked on HL2, it started a preload at 99.7%, and I'd already preloaded.
Is anyone else getting this?
EDIT: Well, the preload finished...and it just said I could play the game when it was released. *sigh*.
I thought the .gcf files could be copied and distributed freely?
Oh you mean the credit card thing? Elaboration: I don't have one, I will have to get someone else (brother, parent, friend) to buy it for me and pay them.
