SUYF!!! now, i am not talking about people who do, "plz dont talk" or "your voice is annoying, dont talk plz" i am talking stuff like this "guys! i ned help in hive!" other guy goes "(mocking voice) bla bla bla!!! Waaa, guys i need help!!" thats what i am talking about. it gets me mad when i see idiots doing stuff like that. everyone was once a kid, everyone had a high pitched voice. you can tell them to be quite, or tell them not to talk nicely, not mock them. mocking will usually end in flame wars, where the kid is mad, but the immature adult is having fun mocking the poor child. doing this over the internet is exactly same as going into public and saying that stuff. for people who do that, think backwards, what if you were the kid, and they mocked you? and dont give me **** like "i would egnore them" and stuff. you will be angry, very angry. when you think it that way, you might think, "how have i not noticed how cruel and mean these mocking were?" seriously, dont give those bullsiht to me"i wouldnt care, i would egnore them" because thats ****. everyone had a high pitched voice once in their life, so dont mock them, be nice, tell them to not talk or something, because if i see you mocking a xhild, i will personaly kick you **** someway or another <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I heard that this new zombie mod has voice scaling so that only those near you can hear what you chatter. NS really could use similar too, except that comm should be able to hear everyone and vice versa. When I'm not the commander, I usually have only small messages to tell (skulks/marines there, RT, turrets, weld me, etc) and using mic is a lot easier than typing when "they are coming for us!"

But on the other hand I dislike having to speak it up to EVERY player in my team. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    A. newbies become n00bs cause of alot of nagging and refusal to get explenations.
    B. If you notice someone has a crap voice, ask them nicely if they PLS can speak slower and more clearly. It helps
    C. Simply mute, don't start nagging on them. (reason A.)

Yes, the little kids who get microphones are funny. Thankfully, since I play on British servers (being one myself) the only youngins we get are British ones, who tend to have much deeper voices than the American screaming of pre-pubescents.

I used to use a sound player for a few days, just for kicks. I'd command, and use Blackadder's "I have a very, very cunning plan" whenever I needed people to do stuff. It worked!

NS should have little voice binds for the commander, like "Listen up, men", "Everyone go to your waypoints" and "OMG ROFL TEH GORGIE LOLOLOLOL!!!!!".

Being American, I'd be upset by that comment if it weren't so blatantly true.

Being post-pubescent is truly a virtue.

Not that I have a high pitched voice, but when I first played ns (and reading the manual) , no one would tell me a how to play.

More like SUYF noob...but I changed server, and someone helped me learn better.

At first, I taught rts didn't give res unless someone was pressing "use" all the time...lol?

    hehe

edit/ Damn gotta crave for SUYF...sh**t up u F***? yeah much better

How could anyone disagree with such a well-written and grammatically correct essay? I hate you, LKV.

Ok, one reason people hate little kids with mics is beacuase they often come in packs and do stupid things. I've been on many servers where like 3 kids will come in and start singing or something along those lines. It is very frustrating to deal with those types. And for those advocating the mute button, what good is a mic if everyone has you muted? Most people dont hear a voice like that and immediatly start screaming at the kid to shut it. A lot of the time it starts out with the saying something, then someone asks how old he is. Most of the time the kid will say something extremely juvinile which most likely isnt an effective comeback but will sound even more absurd coming from a kid. I understand their predicament, but please if you have a mic and you are young or your voice sounds young just follow the proper mic ettiquite and you should be fine.

It's usually the fact that with a high pitched voice, there is idiocy, stupidity, and cluelessness attached. Usually when come in contact with a high pitched voice kid, its usually "COMM!!! Can I have a shotgun!!" "gimme a shotgun" "cmon commander" "ILL KILL STUFF REAL GOOD CMNO" "I need shotgun PLEEEEEEASE"

    mute is your friend

I agree with you, that people are pretty stupid and Aholes, cuz i also went through it. Now thankfully enough my voice is deep enough it doesnt get made fun of, but sadly enough i now make fun of the little kids with funny voices.

In simple terms, I was made fun of once too, and now I'm doing the making fun of. It's just part of the cycle of life. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

All PC games with MIC support should come with in built voice changers to make kiddies sound more like adults and to stop Germans sounding like Darth Vader
