    Does the mess cause problems? In other words, does it take you longer than it should to find things, or are things constantly in your way? If so, then it is probably worth cleaning. If you can get to everything quickly, then I wouldn't bother. If you have friends in your room all the time, it is probably a good idea. Basically what I'm saying is that you shouldn't bother if your only reason is to make it look clean to you.

    Don't be so lazy. It can't be <i>that</i> bad. When I'm in the house on my own for a week the place begins to look like a **** hole. At the end I clean it all up, hoover the floor, empty bins, put stuff away, etc. Takes me an hour at maximum.

    The only time my room's ever looked that bad was when I let a turkish family stay in it while they were on holiday here and I had to sleep in the spare room... I mean where the heck would you put your Dance Dance Platform in all that mess? XD
