Apparently this is big enough news that even <a href='http://slashdot.org' target='_blank'>/.</a> linked to it: the team that made the Sam & Max computer game has come together to form a new company. <a href='http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/10/01/news_6109473.html' target='_blank'>Gamespot article and short interview here.</a>

    Not really on-topic, but I bought the DotT/Sam&Max double pack today, and finished DotT in 2hrs30. I was hoping I might have forgotten some of it in the ten years or so it's been since I first played them, but oh well.

    Sam & Max is next though, and I never played the talkie version before - I'm a looking forward to this. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Actually, I'd like to see a Grim Fandango RPG or SP Adventure mod for Half Life 2.

    you know, every once in a while I think I'm due a spam post, these come very infrequently and have no real purpose... they exist independently of other posts and thus exist solely to their own purpose. However, this does not mean they are devoid of content as they can sometimes be entertaining. I could merely enter a random couple of words or the odd smiley, but that is artless spam. I guess you could consider my spam more drivel than spam. It has a purer form without the odd meats from so many sources. Bring on the drivel I say, bring it on! For without drivel there is only mindless existence.

    D'no about where to find copies of the games, but I believe there's an open source project that can play SCUMM engine games floating around somewhere, if it turns out they won't run under XP.

    It does indeed work wonders, and has the ability to filter the graphics a bit to make things less fugly. Looks like it supports most of the old LucasArts games, and things like the first two Broken Sword games (which are next on my list).

    As to where I got them, I searched high & low for the pack - I daresay you could grab them from an online store pretty easily though, someplace like amazon.co.uk
