Two Preloads Within 2 Days Of Eachother?!

OH EM GEE!!!
Does anyone find it interesting that Valve would pre-load TWO peices of HL2 within two days of eachother?
[Checking the News section, it has HL2 Preload 4 on Sept 27, and the fifth - and newest - today. Both within no more then 2 days of eachother. Very, very interesting...]

But, yes. The stars are in alignment, all the signs point to HL2's launch as imminent.. set loose the dogs of war and ready the chair for two giant arse-dents... HL2 is coming.
Yeah, thats kinda obvious that its done, I mean there have been signs pointing to that for a while.
ESRB rating, can't get one of those until the game has been finalized
The RC, obviously you can't send off a release candidate if you don't have the game done
The review, as pointed out.
The problem now is bugs. The game is finished and if released now you could (assuming you didn't hit into any major bugs) play it from start to finish. The game itself is done, now it just needs some bugs worked out, then it can go gold.
PC Gamer's review is on a pre-final version, just like their pre-gold DOOM3 review was
please dont ever compare valve to ea.
Thing is, why fix what isn't broken? And more importantly, they did something that a lot of us have wanted- we like CS, the problem is, the players are generally idiots on the whole, very few intelligent beings. Hence why playing with bots is so much fun, especially ones this smart.
...I'd say HL2 SP is done, but their more refining MP right now. Who knows though!
-_-
Well, it'd be the same as if you bought the Standard HL2 Box.
Definitely though, something's up, otherwise this much information wouldn't be comming out.

Meh. One step closer to glorious impossibility. I'm rather annoyed that CS:S is the only multiplayer, that I have to pay extra for DoD:S and HL1:S, and that CS:S is going to get shoved in the faces of loyal HL2 fans because Valve wants to push their online delivery platform/screw with Vivendi. However, my overall attitude is best described by the first real English clause in this post: sure, the overall situation is less than ideal, but we've almost got our hands on the Holy Grail itself. It’s (still) but a matter of time.
That's what steam was for, yeah?
there is sometihng that just makes me giggle like a little school girl when I see this:

So people keep saying.
CS/HL1 is hardly broken, why play CS:S/HL2 instead?
It's similar(... and since we allready like the first product...) but better, that's why.
I can't compare CS to CS:CZ because I've never played CZ, but it doesn't appear to be much better at all, but you get where I'm going with the above. Better is good, obviously, or we would all be playing wolfenstein 3d or something. Newer games can handle better graphics, sound, physics and other technologies, they may mean nothing to you, but they enable you to make games with better gameplay and less artificial constraints. Better gameplay is what we all want.
It ISN'T. It's just all the reviewers got to play.
If I turn out to be wrong, then you can strangle me, but until then, hold hope that hl2s multi is exciting and has vehicles.
Dont make me open up Steam for no good reason EVER AGAIN!

What was that? I didn't hear you. I was busy reorganizing my game CDs so I have a slot fot the HL2 DVD.
Yes, but there are a couple that look interesting. I'm watching to see where DarkATI's Rise of Power mod goes, and there's another, Entropy mod, and I'm sure there are others,
