Overclocking Help

Basically my current motherboard won't let me overclock. At all. My old motherboard, which I loved, a Gigabyte 7VT600-L. My current desperate board is a Biostar M7NCD. Now, my Athlon XP 2800+ would overclock great, I got up to 230FSB on stock cooling. The M7NCD however refuses to overclock at all. 1Mhz over and windows wont load. I've disabled all temperature throttling software in the bios and such, and the CPU idle runs around 36-40c. The bios are the newest version as are all my drivers. No such luck. Anyone have any ideas? Or am I stuck with this till I get money.

don't overclock or stay with your old motherboard?
