importing bones and attatched vertexes.
Is there a way to import bones and animations of .mdl files to .3ds (3dsmax4) files?

All my working convertions just did polygons, textures and UVW maps.

have you tried using an smd importer (if there is one) for 3dsmax?

There is an importer, but it aint really any good, screws up the bones.
Your better off reboning the arms in max.

There's a third-party set available here: http://mojo.gmaxsupport.com/ , as well as some other format tools for max and gmax... never had an issue with these, I use Max 3.1 and 4.2 as well as Milkshape...

I remember. downloaded the hlsdk2.3 but it just wont install by 2 stupid error messages.

All i need is that plugin and not 700 mb of examples and other tools.
