Yet another question about specs
I've recently freed up a spare computer, and I'm interesed in turning it into some kind of game server. Optimally, I'd love to make it an NS server, but I'm not sure if the specs are quite good enough:
Pentium III 450 MHz
320 MB PC100 RAM
40 GB IDE (Or EIDE? I can never remember.) hard drive
I also have a 1.5 Mb down/896 Kb up DSL connection. I plan on installing FreeBSD, too. Any thoughts?

that pc is way too slow to host a ns server. the max players you could possibly have on that would be 4 or 6 and thats pushing it. you will always have problems with cpu overloads and frequent crashing if you hosted a ns server on that.
although it wouldnt really have a problem being a low-end ns 1.04 server
my ns 1.04 server was a dual PIII 550 with 256 ram and windows 2000.
