<div class="IPBDescription">problems</div> well my steam is updateing everytime i log on and i cant find my folder so i installed it to my desktop. Were do i have to put the folder?

you might not have installed half life through steam. do that first and re-read the directions on the download page

Read the install instructions again carefully, you may not have done it right. If your problem persists reinstall steam and check out the steam forums, thats how I fix most of my steam problems.
