For playing NS, it is strongly recommended to use the in-game server program, it works extremely well and is made for HL games <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
His problem is probably due to the fact that if you install NS 3.0b5 without killing NS3.0b4, All Seeing Eye doesnt detect the new b5, so it keeps scanning b4 servers....

Here's a simple trick that will fix ASE at the moment: just uncheck the "3.0" option under Natural-Selection in ASE and it will start looking for servers that are running game "ns"... Maybe someone should inform the developers of ASE that NS has changed back to "ns" from "nsp" ?

very frustrating, and I dont know how to fix it.
In the filter options steam allows me to slect between "Natural Selection (beta 5)" and "Natural Selection (beta)"
So there should not be any problem since they are both lacated in different folders ns and nsp.
Edit: Start steam. and then right click on the steam tray icon. Select servers and there you can select you filter options.
Or right click on the steam tray select settings, select "interface" and switch "favorite window" to "server".
