So Lucas is remaking the films... And he told dear Luke

Um... I don't think you can remake movies that haven't been made. VII, VIII and IX are supposed to be the final three.

Actually if you download the little mp3 Mark Hamill talks about how there were originally 4 trilogies (!?!?)

The novels of which they will be based on supposedly rock. So there's still hope left in this franchise

You mean the Thrawn series? It does rock. It's incredible. Movies based on that would be fantastic. But then again Lucas would be in charge. They'll suck

How did he mannage to pull off 'A New Hope', 'The Return of The Jedi' and 'The Empire Strikes Bacl'? Then procede 25 years later and make crap?

who said anything about it being based on the thrawn books? They were pretty good, but they weren't by Lucas, so I find it a safe bet that it isn't the thrawn trilogy.

Money money money money! MONEY!

Good song. If these are made, it'll be fun watching retards wait outside again. And maybe Triumph will strike back!

IIRC he didn't actually write those. He wrote the new ones. Thus the transition from being films to something that comes out of the rear end of a cow.

I say Peter Jackson on the Thrawn Trilogy. Look what having an outside director did for Empire.

He wrote the story and scripts, but he only directed A New Hope. ESP was directed by Irvin Kershner and ROTJ by Richard Marquand.

Possible new movies...
Please dont suck please dont suck please dont suck!!!!

Oh how I miss the quality of the first 3 films.

The new edited scenes that came out in the late 90s where good in my opinion but all this new talk about replaceing anakins ghost in ROTJ makes me want to cry.

I see no way that the last three movies can be based on the Thrawns series well atleast not with major modifications. One of the major factors in the story seems to be wreaked if you go by the first three movies. Spoiler in mirco text for anyone who hasn't read the books The entire clone thing will have to be changed. In the books the clone wars happened in the very distant past and were in no way related to the stormtroopers I think.

Lucas's shinanigans can no longer bother me. I have found (took a lot less effort than I thought) the LD rips of the original trilogy in DVD format. Yes, now I can watch han quick draw on greedo for all time.

I heard a little while back, a year or two maybe, that Lucas would not be directing, witing or producing anymore Star Wars films after Episodes 1, 2 and 3 were completed. Maybe he changed his mind and realized that he can milk much more out of these interesting *cough* people who bring lightsabers to the theatre dressed in full Darth Maul attire. Or maybe its just a rumor but either way i dont think well be seeing them any time soon.

I need to find those rips too, because my copies of the original trilogy are starting to suffer from colour bleed.

In addition, my "extended edition" tapes are also suffering but I won't really miss those.

Peter Jackson should have done the new Films. He can somehow pull off a good story and have tons of awesome special FX at the same time.

Bah, if you don't like Episodes 7, 8, and 9 (even before they have been announced, confirmed, worked on, or seen), then you don't have to watch them.
