Rank 1- Airwave (Sunset Mix) <-- the slower remix of "Airwave", its amazing what can happen when you make a song lower and slower.
ATB- "Long Way Home" <-- Sad song <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Armin van Buuren- "Burned With Desire feat. Ah jeeze with as much as I love music there are too many good emotional songs I have in my mp3's.
Hmm most common artist of of them is probably Enya...
But that's just when I want something peaceful, I love rock and techno. Really don't care for most pop or country tho (they mostly suck except for a few). One country song, I can't remember the name of, in particular tho is a very beautiful sad song I like very much. (Mostly beacuse it doesn't sound like typical country)
*smacking head* God I can't remember the name, he's like one of the biggest Stars in that genre. Music video plot synopsis goes like this: guy in high school has a girlfirend he gets pregant and they have a kid who grows up. (kindof a full circle of life thing) Despite the lame plot the song it's cool and I can't remember the name or the artist and it's driving me nuts. Arg.
Anyways I usually map to music. Peaceful classical or opera music is perfect for Counter-Strike. It's really creepy but cool when you ahve some sort of peaceful music on with the gun fire, explosions, and screaming. If I'm in a fast paced mode like in a competition or when commanding in NS i usually have rock or fast techno. Heavy rock or techno is a must when you are making large assaults, it motivates you a lot.
ie: When I'm on alien and finishing off the marines I play the Guns&Roses "welcome to the jungle" and we all laugh and start singing it.
Most recently I played "Dragula" (Rob Zombie) when I sent a HA train in to finish off the aliens durring a LAN competiton where I live.
Anyways... I got a little under 1500 mp3's (not joking) on my Hard Drive, so yea I'm definitely into music.
Simple and Clean from Kingdom Hearts by I don't know who. AND YAY ANOTHER KOF LOVER ON TEH BOARD! I suck with Iori <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I can never do the scum gale / sliding punches combo.
Linkin Park - My December Changes - Ozzy Counting Stars - Sugarcult Anthem Of Our Dying Day - Story Of The Year Hows it going to be - Third Eye Blind Breathing - Yellowcard Weak And Powerless - A Perfect Circle Accidents - Alexisonfire Stay Together For The Kids; Adam's Song - Blink 182 There Is - Boxcar Racer Hold On - Good Charlotte Time Of Your Life - Green Day Will I; Believe - Ian Van Dahl The Last Song - Theory Of A Deadman
'Bastard' - Devin Townsend/Biomech - This always makes me feel sad about my parents. It makes me think about what it might be like once they're gone.
'The Death of Music' - Devin Townsend/Biomech - Just...great.
'Hurt' - NIN - Classic
'Leaving Hope' - NIN - Beautiful instrumental.
I'm not sure why I'm bothering actually. I'm sure noone'll get around to checking any of these out. I highly reccomend listening to that last song though.
Man, I forgot to mention Third Eye by Tool! Not a sad song, but certainly 'gets me inside'. An amazing 13 minutes of music, with Bill Hicks sound clips too :D
Also, 'Life' also by Devin Townsend is a great song to put a bounce in your step.
Psychotic Canadian speed-death FTW! I'm of course referring to Strapping Young Lad, because as far as I'm aware it's the only extreme death/thrash band he's been in, or created.
For some reason or another, this song makes me sad...only the Tori Amos version and not the Nirvana version <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

it's impossible to pinpoint one song that really gets to me... it's all mood-based...
I gotta say REM and the Beatles are much more sincere than most bands, so they have songs that gets to me in almost every mood... pretty much everything else I listen to isn't so mood-specific.
best feeling good songs: REM - stand Beck - a lot of stuff Simon and Garfunkel - feelin' groovy postal service - most of their album
best feeling bad songs: wilco - a lot... wilco = win for somber music simon + garfunkel - scarborough fair, sound of silence REM - losing my religion iron and wine - same as wilco postal service - this place is a prison
best lighthearted songs: flaming lips - *.* frank zappa - *.*
best pick-me-up songs: REM - everybody hurts, the end of the world Beatles - hey jude the kinks - they made silly songs about serious subjects, really pick you up
best romantic songs: Beatles - julia, dear prudence, here there and everywhere REM - nightswimming, you are the everything porno for pyros - kimberly austin
best break-up songs: greenday - good riddance REM - the one I love
best unrequited love songs: elvis costello - I want you frente! - bizarre love triangle janis joplin - another little piece of my heart
best suicide song: Joni Mitchell - Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire
ok I took this post far enough <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Garbage, "Drive Me Home" - erm. 'cause i know i can be a pretty crazy chick sometimes, and if i had a guy that put up with all of it... yeah.
Dishwalla, "Every Little Thing" - 'wish i could be every little thing that you wanted'
Christina Aguilera, "Beautiful" - especially after watching the music video. about how you're beautiful no matter what, and screw what anyone else says - the video shows some groups ostracized by society, like a not-hetero couple, a punk rocker, a crossdresser, and an anorexic girl.
Utada Hikaru, "First Love" - about, well, how she'll always remember her first love. ^^
Extreme, "More than words" - because I think it's so terribly true...

People need to accept they're either stupid, ugly, annoying, or simply not normal and that they will be ostracized, and possibly all of them. Not everyone is beautiful, not everyone is smart, and not everyone is simply dandy. It makes me sick that someone would try to believe that.
