I like this idea. I'm sittin here watchin G4TV.com and heard about "n00b-nite." If this idea works out, maybe we could have a monthly or even weekly (or bi-weekly) event like this, and somehow publisize it as much as possible. Maybe this could increase fan-base...hmmm....

True newbies won't have IRC. You need some other form to rally them into the server.

and to get to the channel: download mIRC <a href='http://www.mirc.com/get.html' target='_blank'>http://www.mirc.com/get.html</a> , install and run. then type /server irc.gamesurge.net -j #nslearn . if it pops up an options dialog, add your name, e-mail address and nickname to the appropriate lines and try again.
thats all u need to do to get to the channel, at least if i didnt forget anything :x
