<div class="IPBDescription">How to?</div> What are the console commands for benchmarking a demo like in Quake 2 or 3? I've searched everywhere and can't find it. Is there such a command? Since Half-Life is based on Quake 2 I would have thought there was...

Also, since I'm here, might as well ask how to record and playback demos <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I don't know anything about a such command..

    Actually Half-Life is really more based on Quake I, with about 50 lines of code from Quake II <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->. You can also view your frames per second with "cl_showfps 1" if that helps.

    This will tell you the max FPS your computer can run the demo.

    timerefresh does somthing too but in my 'old' age i cant remember <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
