- Yes I am talking about combat.
- I can see like a million Internet servers.
- I mean in order to go lerk in combat you must first become a gorge, correct?
I can't figure out how! I have rcbot and whichbot, the bots go gorge, and I've even seen them get up to Onos! But I have even configured a key to gestate to a gorge, still no luck! <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Please tell what is going on, actually, where do you see the option to go Gorge in combat on your computers? (On the pop-up menu I mean)

if you get client .dll errors then you mixed up some installers.
The only reason why you would be unable to evovle to gorge (As in it is not on your menu) is if you only have beta 1 installed (as Gorges were removed from comabt then)
2 get lvl as skulk
3 Open menu MOUSE2
4 there will be 4 options
a LEFT => Unlock ability 3rd
b RIGHT => Upgrades
c UP => Comunication (i.e.Chuckle)
d DOWN => there will be no options just written "Gorge" and this should evolve ya to gorge
When I go to "play games on steam, it shows Natural Selection (beta) under third party games, is this what your says?
and did you look at rabbit's guide?
as for telling what version, you realy just can't, however here is the guide. Make sure you search your HDD for nsp to see if you have more then one folder of it.
Also pay attention to the note about beta 4a:

2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam (just booting up the training mission will do).
3) Download these 3 files:
ns_install_v3_b1.exe
ns_v30_b4_patch.exe

4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1 (ns_install_v3_b1.exe) (This should auto install to steam\steamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp, if it does not, move the NSP folder there).
5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (ns_v30_b4_patch.exe) (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\ do NOT include the NSP).
6) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe) (See * at bottom).
7) Search your Hard drive(s) for folders named nsp.
8) If you have more than one you messed up. Goto Step 3.
If you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.
If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.
*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers. Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life

2) Deleate all folders named that.
3) Start from step 3 in my guide.
4) Make sure you are using the properly named files for each step, the file name is listed with the step.
5) Make sure you point each file at the place listed with the step
5a) The first one should auto install with no choice of destination
5b) The second one goes to: Steam\SteamApps\your@email\Half-Life
5c) The 3rd should probably go to Steam\SteamApps\your@email\
6) After each install step in my guide (steps 4, 5 and 6) search your hard drive for nsp
6a) If you find only one folder, and it is located at Steam\SteamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp then you are good to go.
6b) If you have only one nsp but it is some where else, move it to that location.
6c) If you have 2 nsp folders, then move the one that is not in that location, over writing all files when prompted.
6d) Each time you move an nsp folder search your hard drive again for nsp to double check.

Try
1 Delete current NS
2 Download from www.natural-selection.org => Downloads NS
3 first should go V3 beta1 full
then V3 beta 4 update
then V3 beta 4a update
I did installing <b>everything</b> in steam\steamApps\my@mail\<i>here</i>
And playing for month already without expiriencing problems (STEAMing pile of poop doesnt count)

That means i think that no big changes had been made , only maps exploits etc, so when even the map hadnt changed he could connect and play but the menu file was old,
its like in TFC when a guy couldnt build Teleporter just cuz he didnt have it in the menu!
