    What about Spyware or Malware on your computer that takes up bandwidth?

    Did you check net_graph? _How much chokes and losses do you have?

    I've checked for spyware and adware 1000 times without finding any + i have formatted all HD's (and without internetconnection) installed everything )firewall antivir) still lags

    And it's only my comp. And only NS.

    Also net_graph is all normal(i have ADSL my choke and loss is allways 0-0, ping dosnt matter i get it even with 10< ping) until suddenly where my upload simply fails to recieve any updates.

    I also tried every rate setting i could figure :S still lagging.

    Gonne post a screen of that upload error brb.
    But i play 100% fine on lan games so it's not the netcard.

    This is driving me nuts getting killed half the times because i lagged out... G-R-eat

    Hmmm.
    At first guess I would say it's a grpahics problem. Do you lag at any certain times? Ie, around players or areas of fancy lighting effects?

    Then again, DoD does not have much fancy lighting.
    Hmm.

    Windows XP?

    It cant be a config thing, as you have reinstalled NS. It cant really be drivers, as you have reinstalled both drivers and windows.

    Has NS *ever* run smoothly? Perhaps it is some graphics limitation. It certainly seems client side judging from the choke results.

    Hmm.
    Meh. Thansal, he's all yours. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> I'm stumped.

    Have you or did you install hltoolz? I did ONCE, totally screwed my system. Have you tried the total clean install?

    <a href='http://home.covad.net/~k25125/SteamyThings/Steam_Clean_Install_FAQ.htm' target='_blank'>http://home.covad.net/~k25125/SteamyThings...Install_FAQ.htm</a>

    Obviously you checked your connection speed in Steam. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Edit: Saw you reformatted hd, that sure should have cleared it.
    Edit 2: Sry for the updates but remebered an issue with nvidia drivers. May want to review this Diablo_fx

    I know you aren't crashing, but some also experienced lag spikes.

    Reply, my NS has always run smoothly until now. But i found the problem, the problem is the nvidia drivers. Before i used 56.xx and i switching to the neweer 61.xx drivers. Now i don't lag anymore..

    Most be a bug then?

    My gfx is GF3 ti 200 and with 61.xx drivers i will get alot of lag spikes.

    But thank you for your help.
