It says on the NS developers site that NS is the "most popular half life modification"

Just wana know is this true <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> and how they know

and also, i think fair play if it is, they deserve it. the ns developers actually listen to the players and dont do *** stuff liek valve does to cs

    yeah commmunity is better, but still bad imo. anyway wouldnt suprise me, the amount of **** valve has done - hahah if theyre losing theirs fan base and players are stopping to play

    Kinda hard to say NS is more popular then CS...also more popularity points will go towards CS when CS:Source comes out.

    Answer:CS is more popular, plus valve do try to listen to the decent feedback and not the whining i.e why they are taking out the shield in source and so on.

    im having trouble trying to find a mirrow to download from can some 1 help me with #3?


    Beta Quick Start
    1. Download and install Steam ("Half-life Steam Installer" recommended, 211 megabytes).

    2. Run Half-life through Steam at least once, by loading up the training course. This is necessary to make sure NS will have the files it needs.

    3. Download and install 3.0 beta 1 from a mirror below (150 megabytes).

    4. Download and install the 3.0 beta 4 patch from a mirror below (38 megabytes).

    5. Download and install the beta 4a patch (4.4 megabytes).

    6. Learn how to play. Join "Combat" games to start (maps start with "co_"). Join "NS" games when you're more experienced (maps start with "ns_").

    7. Stay informed of news and community updates. We will never spam you and your personal information will always remain private.

    actually the text says "most popular <b>independant</b> halflife modification" wich means most popular of the mods that Valve does not officially support or own (CS, DoD,..).
