You actually expected the release date to be met? Silly boy <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
It's done when it's done, it'll be even better when it *is* done. Cut the guys some slack. Yadda yadda...

You might want to remeber that and show some respect for the devs.
Due to problems fixing two big bugs, we are unfortunately going to have to delay the release scheduled for today. Voogru and Elven have been working really hard to find and fix the 'hitbox' bug (which really has nothing to do with hitboxes) and a client-crash recently introduced for listenservers. We are hoping that this release will be the official 3.0 release, and want to make sure it's especially solid. I under-estimated the difficulty of fixing these bugs, which is exacerbated by the fact that these guys are new to NS coding, and have had to hit the ground running.
We're still going to try to release before the CPL next week, but if it's not ready in time, we'll wait until after. There are so many bug-fixes, map updates and polish items in this version that I think it'll be worth the wait. We're sorry if we spoiled your weekend plans!
In other news, the new Unknown Worlds and NS web-sites are nearing completion, and will be unveiled in the next couple weeks. We've unified the two sites, and greatly improved the navigation (no more flash), added user profiles, and added instant Constellation donation approval and more. Here's a screenshot to give you an idea.
Thanks for hanging in there while we undergo this transition, I don't think you'll be disappointed. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
i was expecting it, but i had me lucky 4-leaf clover encrusted horseshoe which I took of a lephrucans(sp?) horse, which was forged from the gold in the pot at the end of the rainbow...... i figured with all that, it *might* get released today..... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
how old could any of you be? I mean your not 90+ years old , I'd bet your all very young and very healthy, so don't worry its not like you'll die before you get to play the latest beta. so don't wet your pants and just wait its better to be done right then to be done twice I allways say no matter how long it takes
I wasn't expecting it to be release today since I took a look at the bug database two day's ago and noticed that almost every bug fix completed by voogru didn't work.

Darnit now I have to spend another week wasting away on the computer hitting the refresh site key on the ns webpage <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

Is that a cherry pie? I dont like cherry pie...
/Edit: If this is the final version of 3.0, then there had BETTER be some balance changes and new features. If not, you know how angry I'm gonna be?
Anyway, I just hope it comes out next week. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> voogru and elventheif for not finishing the bug.
ok, will be delayed, but Flay say that the 3.0 are comming in 2 or 3 week. I prefer waiting 3 weeks and have a NS without bugs and with new changes to have the b5 today and tomorrow cry because we have found 1000 bugs

Yeah the only thing that makes me cry is the two bugs that are delaying a release. The PSHB bug, which there's already an amx and metamod workaround for, and a crash for... listenservers? I mean, by all means, fix away at the bugs and God bless those that work so hard so that we can play. But delays for listenservers? Meh. (insert lorn's crying pic again here)
Let's be sincere we was waiting new changes and stuff, yeah, bugs fixes too(the damm hit-boxes bug and sg reload bug), but i was waiting new things than solved bugs and b5 had a few new stuff. And again the count down would start for the 3.0 final for the real changes in gameplay Because new features makes every version of NS funny and interesting
Question: Is Beta 4a honestly that horrible that it is a neccesity to create several topics to express your dissatisfaction that more time is neccesary to correct bugs, errors, and exploits? Is Beta 4a honestly that broken that Beta 5 will make an earth-shattering change in gameplay?
My opinion: No. I whole-heartedly appreciate any updates Flayra and the other developers are able to release when they are able to. Period. While I'm used to not 'having my own way,' so to speak, I don't see any need to be uncivil about it.
Your opinion: Discuss!
And for Bob, while there is an AMX and Metamod walkaround for PSBH [PSHB??], it's simply what you said it was; a <i>walkaround.</i> Not to mention the fact that not all servers run AMX or Metamod, out of choice, neccesity, or otherwise. I don't blame them for wanting to bury this dirty laundry for good.
Are you being sarcastic?? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I've been told that this <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->We are hoping that this release will be the official 3.0 release<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> is wrong.
I should think so too. There are still alot of issues, especially balance wise that will need fixing before the official 3.0 release, I'm guessing alongside VAC steam support and the 3.0 manual, (unless those things arent actually going in now)

I would rather have b5 in like a week with more bugs fixed, the final version of 3.0 AND more features.
