why do modern vampires like rave music?

there are a lot of other cool, "dark" music genres. like certain metal (black, death, some power, etc)

but in 9/10 vampire stories, games, or movies, the scene where the vampires are congregating is in a club or something and there's rave/techno/electronica on..

Rave music is usually rather ambient - made to be in the background. Non-intrusive, good for movie and game soundtracks, as it balances out the vocals and the music. It's also "underground" in the sense that raves usually involve drug and alchohol abuse: that illegal activity matches the illegal aspect of assaulting others for their blood. That mystique about it fits the secretive nature of the vampire society.

The stuff they play at clubs is, get to a rave playing HHC, and you'll see it's not Ambient.

Maybe because author's and whatnot think it's cool, and they shop at Hot Topic.

Well..I'm a very avid raver. And yes..I am a vampire...
We didn't always listen to electronica...it started when the Blade movies started incorperating us doing such awful things that we never do. Damn media, but since we love to annoy. We do it!

So fugger off!

Paranoia, I'm interested - do you just enjoy the sight of blood (perhaps going as far as drinking it), or do you think you are a different lifeform, a "changed" human being? No, this isn't a baited question - either way you answer, I don't plan on challenging it. I don't "agree" (a weak word) with vampirism - I tihnk it's strange - but debating it on a forum is pointless, so I won't.
