GameSpy: What are the current player-hosting capabilities of the game? Is it still designed around 4 players, or has that been expanded?
RD: DOOM 3 multiplayer is based around 4 players; however, internally it is not limited to that. Mod teams will be able to support more. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

There aren't that many multiplayer maps release with the game either. Lets just hope that people take advantage of it's lush graphics and make some killer custom maps or even mods of their own.
Hopefully its because they don't want to prematurely trump Quake 4. ;)
5 DM maps come with the game. Personally, as long as they are all high-quality, memorable arenas then I'm fine with that quantity.
doom has a point, and if u remember doom1/2 were usually played in 1v1/2v2 games.
Oh that would be something.
Lag would completely ruin the atmosphere.
sneaking through an un-lit tunnel with only a flashlight, then..... the lag hits.
You regain control in a few seconds to find yourself dead.
how fun
Even if it is supposedly only for the Xbox version, I'm hoping that a co-op mod for Doom III PC will pop up somewhere along the line...
