I like that they have a game category called "life simulation"...
what's the most system-intensive game on the list? wanna see how my computer stacks up
Exactly what I thought, but of Mozilla 1.7 -like I would go back to the crappy and slow IE (ironically, only using it to patch Windows).
Well no duh. You have an X800 graphics card, a 2.0GHz(?) 64-bit processor, and an arseload of RAM. With that rig you probably have better than 'recommended specs' on +95% of all the games they list.
/me envy
Processor: Intel Pentium III 598Mhz
Graphics Card: Intel i810e
Memory: 126MB
Free Disk space: 2.99GB
Operating system: Microsoft windows XP
They have me on the 2nd bar from the left if I do the battlefield vietnam system check. lol :-)
Well no duh. You have an X800 graphics card, a 2.2GHz 64-bit processor, and an arseload of RAM. With that rig you probably have better than 'recommended specs' on +95% of all the games they list.

I just wanted to gloat
I'm done for now
Umm...
Ever heard of zone.com? It's pretty much dead now, but back in 96,97 it was the enforced method of multiplayer for all ms published games, and also any developer they struck a deal with satan with, LucasArts for Jedi Knight 1. Man am I glad that's over. :X
i can't run really any new games, i need to get a new one soon

JK1...such beatiful memories. Unfortunately, MS's gaming zone was so bogged down that it restricted play to 4 players even for games like JK1 that supported as many as 16, so CTF (which should've been more popular than it was) never got played.
As for this game system scan thingy, it's made in part by Futuremark, notorious for horrible benchmarking programs like 3DMark (horrible as in it doesn't scan accurately). It tells me my machine is well above the recommended requirements for UT2k4 and somewhere above the minimum requirements for Far Cry. I have a GeForce2, so it's rather obvious this system scanner needs..."improvements."
What are you talking about? As long as your Geforce 2 is a TI, that reading is accurate.
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one here who played Jedi Knight multiplayer. I never played CTF because of the four player limit at the Zone, but quite a few neato mods were made for it.
the system can not work because the advisor is using the minimum and maximum sys specs given by the game puplishers... and we all know how precise they are.
M$ does not benchmark every game for this advisor..this would be to costy ,to timeconsuming...and btw they are to lazy for that anyway
