No. Just because Michael Moore stated it doesn't make it true.

That is where most Americans lie. They are called "moderates" and they make up a decent sized portion of American society. They are generally more fiscally conservative, which is why I've put some more emphasis on the "conservative" side.
Some are "Liberal Republicans." Some are "Conservative Democrats." Most are independents. Moore is probably saying "most Americans are liberal" because Gore won the popular vote in 2000. Let me tell you why he won the popular vote: many independents voted for him because he was riding the waves of Clinton's popularity. If he'd been smart and ridden it more, he probably would have won.
Hey, reminds me of why Bush Sr. won in 1988: he was riding the coattails of Reagan's popularity.
I also noted the extent to which Conservatives believe the media is biased (on the far left) and then put an approximation of the actual amount of bias. Yes, it's there, but it isn't a Vast Socialist Conspiracy.
I think the whole point of this is just to say "yes, there is a liberal bias is the majority of news reporting." I expected Liberals to leap all over it and attempt to discredit it on technicalities and small issues, which they did. No study is perfect, obviously, but you cannot hide Liberal bias. However, I do get annoyed with Conservatives that cry "conspiracy" and don't try to make a difference by getting out there and giving people the other side. Don't complain, get active.
On the topic of the "media" being more liberal. It basically goes like this. Big media centers, like newspapers from NY, SF, LA, Boston, are all liberal areas. Almost All big cities vote liberal, and hence, get Liberal newspapers. For the TV media, it kind of works the same way. They are based out of main large cities, which are mostly LIberal. They get their reporters and reports from the newspapers from big cities, which are liberal. There is plenty of media that is conservative. All the southern states TV/newspapers are conservative. Hence you eventually get a couple TV networks that are conservative, mainly being fox.
