<div class="IPBDescription">Anyone else?</div> Anyone else watch the fantastic men's final of finesse (Federer) vs power (Roddick)? What about a 17 year old russian winning Wimbledon? Good matches. I wasn't expecting Sharapova to win at all.

    Sharapova was a really a shocker. I thought that Davenport would have eliminated her, but she just kept going. Up to the last few sets, I was still sure that Williams would win it. Surprise wins are always cool.

    The men's finals were very nicely played. But Roddick could not win a break point, ever. He had soo many chances, grr. But both of their services...ouch. 140 miles per hour? Jeeez, I'd run away from the court rather than return that. Made sense that Federer won though. He had the most control and consistency in his game. Still frustating to watch though. (shakes fist at Roddick)

    Yarr, sweeping generlizations on port side! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    For me, tennis is the only sport I can watch without becoming horribly bored.

    The camera man would often go to the camera right behind her whenever seh was about to recieve. If you watched, you know what I'm talking about. Hot russian gals who play tennis grab my heart everytime.

    In any case, Federer has the wickedest backhand ever, only guy I've seen who has power and can place the ball anywhere using his backhand slice.

    Heh, heh, well there's that aspect to tennis too, of course. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I didn't enjoy the men's finals (or what I saw of it: the first two sets). Federer wasn't playing at his best. He was a lot sloppier than he should have been; just check out his previous match against Grosjean, where he played some awesome tennis. Roddick played great at first, but lost his focus in the second set.

    The women's final was good to watch, though. Williams played well, but Sharp. played better tennis on the day.

    I was surprised that Sharapova totally blew Serena out of the water in the first set... unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the men's semi, since our local NBC station didn't broadcast it (and they even only broadcast part of the women's finals). Also didn't get a chance to watch the chance to watch the finals (yeah, you expect me to get up in the morning to watch this on a Sunday?)
