Windows Cant Find Audio Device?

For some reason, after a format, Windows XP cant detect my Nforce 2 onboard sound like it usally does. When attemping to install drivers for it from a disk or online, it asks to put in a windows CD, but when I do, nothing ever happens. Eventually it sometimes says that it is installing windows audio drivers, but afterward nothing has changed. In addition, I KNOW that this sound card and the speakers work, they have been tested on another computer.
