to its original one?
So, i cant access the linksys ftp, the 1.45.7 version is giving me troubles, and i got this exprimental 1.51.00 version firmware that i am afraid to install.
So i ask, is there anyway to get the original firmware that my router came with back on? I dont know which version it is and like i said i cant acces there ftp. I got a linksys befsr41 version2.
Is there a special option that i can click or something? The "roll back to factory defaults" button doesent affect the firmware

Ok, now on to your question. No. Once you flash (install) new firmware, it overwrites the old one. When you reset the router, it just deletes the memory that contains your settings. The only way you can get a previous version is by re-installing.
If you can't find the version your looking for on the LinkSYS website; call up the tech-support and ask them. I've messed up my router a few times, and they helped me out. They even emailed me the firmware!
Also, dont use the built-in upgrade option in your router page for installing new firmware, its takes forever and usually doesnt work. Use the one that LinkSYS says to use (its on their website on the firmware page).
