apparently its a German-Dutch Prototyp for a stealth fighter but the project was halted when the US got info on it.

Do the manufacturers of the stealth fighter have an international patent on it?

I was thinking the same. Why stop simply because the US found out?

Bah stealh fighters are overated, i always liked the blackbird myself, what you need stealth for if you can outrun the missles <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

But no, other countrys do have stealth tech, the eurofighter is meant to be stealth capable although im not sure how true it is. Also sweden i think it is has a stealth boat.

Then you have orbital defence platforms which carry nukes incase a country steps out of line.

We need to go back to the old days when it was simply 2 men with a grudge and it ended with 1 of them dead. Right or wrong it was that simply, this political crap does my head in. Every country on the face being nice to each other but behind the scenes thier stabbing each other in the back.

Well, as cool as the blackbird looked (and I love it!), it really ain't got much offensive capabilities. It uses it's speed for recon really.

As for the stealth thing.. the German's stealth fighter looks way better than the F-117. And it was designed as an interceptor too!

I heard that the russian Sukhoi and the french Rafale are stealth capable too (to a lesser extent) , most modern fighters are harder to spot on a radar than their older versions.

Not sure about the stealth boats , one of them looked more like an ironclad than a modern vessel ... but we do have an experimental frigate built to deflect the other ship's radar waves , as no part of the hull remains perpendicular to the sea.
