btw that was very clever for the name of the species. When I first read it I was like, "WTF?", but I read on and I was smiling content on how the name came about.

    Jeff pronounces it:

    'kaah-RAAH'

Thats also how I would expect it pronounced troy.

When it comes to pronounciation there are two other things I suspect I may have got wrong.  Given they are both map names, I suspect only the mapper knows himself, and any playtester that might have caught it.

ns_bast: bast like paste or bast like past (possibly the worst examples of similar sounding words <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->)
ns_hera: Now I know you are going to rat on about greek godesses (or so my friend said) but I was just wondering if I was saying this correctly by saying 'hair-eh'.

Bast is like cast or past. Baste is something you do to a turkey. Hera is "Hair-uh".

So kharaa is accented on the second syllable, eh? khaa-RAAH? Sounds cooler that way methinks.

    is baa - st (past)

    and hera (again greek goddess)

well, yah that looks about right lol it all comes down to accent any way ;D)

actualy sorta more like hair ah (like what the Dr has you say) (not eh,like canadian eh)

Instead of rawr it should be RAAH! Like Monse says how the seccond syllable of the word sounds like.
