    Which distro? Are you using metamod? Where are you seeing hl_i385.so?

    hi, thanks for the reply

    Yes i have adminmod and meta mod installed under the plugins/addons/adminmod and /metamod too,

    Couldn't locate the hl_i385.so in the system at all, after a system wide scan.

    Running FreeBSD, with Debian Linux Port

    Updated metamod (just this second downloaded it and tried it) still gives me the same error message when i try too use ./hlds_run

    Any ideas ?

    The path to your metamod file is incorrect. Make sure you have updated the liblist.gam file in the nsp folder to point to "addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i386.so" or whatever the location of the file is.

    Try using the following as a hlds_run parameter:

    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->-binary ./hlds_i686<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    I have no idea whats causing your problem though, so this very likely might not work.

    You have something dorked up in there. Slick the Half-Life server install directory and start from scratch. If you need a guide on how to do a basic NS install properly see the guides in my sig. There are a few stumbling points which can mess things up easily.

    Also, I noticed you posted this on the general HLDS linux mailing list, come back here if you still can't get this resolved.
