How To Fix...

this weird visual bug.
Hey, here's the story:
At first I got a bit over 150 fps ingame... my brother said to me to install a particular driver so I could get even more, so I did. Apparently the driver sucked arse and my fps dropped to 60 fps (I know, but v-sync was off, as it always was). So I reinstalled the old driver again and I got my high fps back again. But now I get weird visual errors ingame, and if I use the flash light the bug dissappears!
My videocard is G-Force FX 5200 (yes, I know it sucks).
3 screens coming your way to clearify the bug.

-EDIT-
Tried to lower the size a bit, it's around 200 kb now... still too large.
Funny thing, the eye isn't digital.
Even though some people quantify it's visual absorbtion rates in FPS terms, it still doesn't quite work the same as a display.

I never said the eyes were digital and I never said the eye had 50 fps. I just said there is no difference between looking at 100 or 120 fps. Maybe there is a slight difference, but it's like driving 120 or 125 km/h.
EDIT: Typo.
That's all I'm trying to say.

And it was worth reinstalling the drivers and screwing it up? I ask you...
EDIT: Okay, I'm through with hijacking this thread.. Sorry...
Blah, I'm so used to low fps in HL being an ATI problem.
it's like a non-digital camera film. The longer the picture gets to "print" itself on the film, the more color there is. If you move the film around, there's some blurry image. That's why when you film a car zooming by, the film actually sees the car blurrily if the film isn't "fast enough"
Its not obvious if you have to look closely. That defies the very nature of obviousness. That may not be a word, but I'm still using it.

Uh, after noticing it, it is quite obvious. Atleast to me, it stands out alot. However, at first glance I couldn't see any difference.

i can feel a huge difference between 50-70. when you play as much as me, you start to notice immediately when your mouse responses are slower, and it's pretty annoying.
anyway - i have the same bug (same gfx card), but it never bothered me because it's so minor. i've never seen blue-black-brown skulks anyways, so i wouldn't bother with it.

If you don't see the error that well on that picture I'll repost 3 screenshots in another section, where you can see the bug more clearly.
