What kind of monitor/graphics card do you have?

If its an ATI card, I know for sure there is an option in the drivers for rendering openGL in black and white..

On my Radeon 9800pro, i can play it on several different "schemes". Like Black-white, ASCII, ASCIIgreen, inverted etc. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo--> Thats driver related though.

Yeah I would have thought it was in the nvidia settings, you can do it for the video overlay, but apparently not for opengl or direct 3d. Any other ideas?

Oh and the button for my monitor display doesnt work any more <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
