Hardware Resources
<div class="IPBDescription">I've run out?</div> My second computer has just had something strange occur. When I turned it on today, I couldn’t connect to the internet. I went into network connects to check if packets were being sent, but I found that all the connections from the connections manager were gone, there was nothing there for some reason. I then check the device manager, which informed me that I have a [Code 12] error, and that I do not have enough hardware resources to run this device anymore. There have been no hardware changes to this computer in the past three months and it has been running fine as is. Yesterday, however, my friend who is a certified electrician and I switched the outlet that my surge protector connects to from a 2 prong to a three prong. Is there anyway this is limiting the amount of power that is able to get to my tower, and affecting what hardware I can use?
Any help is appreciated.
Edit: I'm running Windows XP Pro, and am using a 10 mbs broadcom home phone line network card to connect through the wires in my house to the main computer which hosts the internet.
