1/2 c. lukewarm water
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. sugar
pinch of salt
1 egg
3 c. bread flour

Dissolve yeast in water and add 3 tablespoons vegetable
oil, 1 teaspoon sugar and pinch of salt. Add 1 egg. Mix only
with long fork. Do not touch dough with hands. Slowly add 3
cups bread flour until it forms a ball. Let rise. Cover with
dish towel (room temperature) for 1 1/2 hours. Can be fried
after it has risen. If not, put in a plastic bag and store in
refrigerator. When ready to fry, let it stand at room tempera-
ture until it has risen. Cut into desired pieces. Stretch and
fry in vegetable oil. Oil must be hot. Fry until golden
brown. Dredge and dip in sugar or cinnamon sugar.
