I've never seen any idea from there being put in the game.

Question: Why is the Ideas and Suggestions Forum even there?

people always have ideas.. most of these ideas are stupid.. but they had to do something to keep General Discussion clean from garbage.. so they created the Ideas forum..

The ongoing rumour since forever is that while the theory behind S&I is somewhere for ideas to go, the reality is it means all the poop gets stashed in one place, and doesn't offend anyone in the rest of the forums.

Think of it as a latrine, it tends to work out quite well. The hiveless restrictions on alien lifeforms came from the ideas and suggestions forum. As did the inability for seige cannons to seige through walls, unless a marine had vision on the structure or the commander scanned the area.

Inconclusion, ideas have been implemented from the idea and suggestion forum, just not many.

Long post, well thought out, Flayra read it and boom - one hive onos!

Back in those days, no one really knew where NS was going, and suggestions were welcome. Now I feel that Charlie and friends have a pretty good idea of where they want to take the game, and dont really need 2.5 million suggestions. Still, cries for hand grens and return of lerk bite in sandi worked, so dont discount it out of hand.
