    Hate to go ridiculously off topic, but...

    <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->I think that is the most ridiculous and in-sensitive thing that I have
    ever read. You have no idea exactly what that girl went through, nor do
    you know what you would do in an extreme situation like that. You should
    be ashamed of yourself for writing such idiotic things. That girl did not
    ask to be kidnapped just as no other child or adult asks to be kidnapped
    or murdered or raped. So why don't you shut up and respect what these
    people have gone through.

    No.
    <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Pwned.

    EDIT: He's wrong though.

Ideas and information are not capitol to be bought and sold, they are more valuable than that. They should belong to EVERYONE, noone making a profit, noone paying for permission to use it.

    Well, the point behind setting up virtually any company is to make a profit. That's unless you are a charitable one. Put yourself in their for a minute. Imagine you spent years developing this new groundbreaking engine on which to base the sequel of one of the most successful games ever developed. You are getting close to finishing then some **** steals it. <i>Then</i> you have people saying that you shouldn't profit from all this hard work at all. Would you be happy?

    Hive: just how much do you know about Communism's history? Time's lessons have proved to us that a lack of incentive begets a lack of effort. That's not "capitolist rhetoric" as you've probably been lead to believe. It's observable fact taken from history. The people living under Communism are the most downtrodden and unmotivated on earth, driven to poverty by the corrupt officials who don't hold to their own dicta who invariably run these things. Without the incentive of profit, no games, or any other software, or even the hardware which it is run on, would've ever been made, because no company would be interested. Whether you think so or not, a large company DOES have to be behind these sorts of things. The amount of infrastructure needed to create them can only be supported by a large organization of some type. If we lived the way you want us to, we likely would've never advanced beyond the amount of technology that one person can manage alone. We'd still be in grass shacks hunting for berries and squirrels. And maybe that's what you'd like, I know there are some people who say we should be living that way, because of some crazy ecological ideal based in good feelings and bad science. But I know I don't want to do that. So screw you and your ilk trying to ruin the companies that give me all the stuff I want.

    I'd move this, but a) it contains too much insults by a certain member we don't need to name here, and b) technically discusses a clearly illegal action, which isn't being condoned.
