I used to dual boot, but now I don't understand why people do it. It's such a waste of space and time. In 99% of all cases you can just optimize the crap out of 1 OS to take care of all your needs in half the time it takes to properly setup 2 OSes.
I have Windows 2000 Professional. I see no point in upgrading to XP, since I don't want the added security issues, nor do I want to have the bloated GUI. Yes, I know I can deactivate the GUI, but once I do that, there's not enough difference between Win2K and WinXP to make the switch, heh.
My old IBM Thinkpad is running Windows98, because it's not powerful enough to run anything better.
Main system is running XP Pro and gentoo linux dual boot. Would eventually be gentoo alone, but the sound drivers for my nforce2 soundcard don't have hardware mixing, which means I can't have 2 programs play a sound at the same time, without sacrificing my soul so some software mixing sound gods. Anyway, GG nVidia. Thanks for keeping the specs bottled up. Otherwise, all my other systems - 1 router, 1 fun box and my laptop - all running gentoo linux.

Btw, what are the advantages of windows 2000 over winxp-pro?
