they cudda be made before the 9600 and 9800 were introduced?!
I dout it would do any harm wat so ever!
Oh it's possible. I've had Raven Shield for ages. At first I used my GF4MX and it run not too bad. I decided to try it on my new 9600 Pro, it ran better but the performance was poorer than I expected.
it DID mess up i tried to go multiplayer and got this :
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
1279MB RAM
Video: RADEON 9600 SERIES (6387)

Jeez 1.2 gigs of ram...
Try uninstalling then deleteing the folder competetly. Then re-install and download the latest patch for the game. They recently added a system that allows the game to update while you are in it (like Command and Conquer) and it was messing me about until I re-installed. Give it a go.

Ya know what I've noticed? Lots of games leave the 9600 off the list. It confuses me to no end. On a related note, Raven Shield runs fine on my 9600.
And I'm pretty sure the 9600 is exactly the same as the 9700, just a bit dumbed down (slower GPU, smaller pipe, etc.). Compatability with one should mean the same with the other. Same goes for 7900 and 7500.
