Need Some Windows Xp Help

Account and sharing related
I have windows xp (home edition), and it's a ***** cause it treats you like a toddler. Anyway... we're trying to set up different accounts, but the admin account gives too much power, and the limited account (the only other option!) gives you virtually none. How can you customize and have a little more control over the accounts?

Also, how do you share files the way you did back in Windows 98? Now the tab says "drag everything to the shared documents folder". And then it doesn't work.

So... help anyone?

I gotta learn linux >_<

    AFAIK... you can't.

You can't give people more power then the limited account and you can't remove power from administrator (not to my knowledge anyway)

If you want limited users to run games and stuff install it to their username folder.

Ok... I'll be a little more specific. I want to have two accounts, each one for me. One is for games, one for homework (the only way I can get the self control). The games can be full admin, no problem there. But on the homework account I want to be able to write on the hard drive - move stuff, rename etc, and to be able to run java and install stuff. I'm pretty sure there's a way to do it, a friend of mine said something about it.

There was this program which let you have a lot of control over your Windows. Perhaps it might help. It was called Advanced System Optimizer 2.0. It might have something... and many other useful things.
PS I used this program to "optimize" my internet. Then I had to format, since reverting/uninstalling/reinstalling/replacing registry did not make it work again. Just beware

You can't. Even XP Pro won't allow you to really play with permission sets. You'd need Win2000, or Win2003 to set up actual permission sets with specific access permissions. ESPECIALLY not XP Home, as it rides the short yellow dropship along with smart_bomb.
