now to the gory bits eh?

the wire: so far you can choke em, and cut off their head (and use it as a lure!)
plastic bag: choke em, choke em and hit em in the kidney or choke em, hit em in the face a couple of times and knee em!
glass shard: stab em in the neck, stab em in the stomach a few times, stab em in the back and then in the eyes
baseball bat: hit em on the head a few times, choke em with the bat and then hit their head clean off
crowbar: smack the bent end into their shoulder and rip it out, smack the other end into their back and then smack the bent end into their skull.

The game itself unflinchingly depicts intense graphic violence, the likes of which you might expect from a slasher movie but not so much from games. However, these grisly scenes are done up in style, as Manhunt has a real cinematic flair to it

The premise of Manhunt is actually highly reminiscent of the original Hitman: Codename 47, and, indeed, the game's combination of stealthy surprise attacks and full-bore shooting action is also similar to that game <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yeah, I've played the PS2 version quite a bit. Fantastically violent death sequences, but not much of a game behind it.

Just wait till you see the killer called "Piggsy". His man-length hangs out <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Is this game worth buying?
At the moment i've stuck between:
    Hitman Contracts (X-Box), ManHunt (X-Box)
    and Dead Man's Hand (X-Box).

All 3 have something that appeal to me
(Stealth, gore, Unreal Physics) but i'm
    having a hard time deciding.

    boo xbox!

anyhoo i love both games but i'd say this MIGHT have more replayability since of the gore but i havent beat it yet.

    hitman contracts rocked.

Well GTA was problematic enough, all the soccermoms are going to start yelling at Rockstar for providing such M rated games that they willingly allow their 8 year olds to play. People should stop blaming game violence. It's like suing a hairdryer company because someone tried to use it in the bathtub. It's written on the darn sticker!

The game is nice btw, judging from what I saw. Is there a demo somewhere?

Go with Hitman. The other two aren't worth the disk they are coded on. Manhunt, as has been said, has no story, and DMH is just a poorly made game.

while i do agree manhunt has no story, it IS very fun, and while repetative it's fun repetativeness <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Manhunt is a good rental (if you can even rent that). Otherwise it's pretty linear. I'd still say it's worth a play, so long as you're mature enough to handle it (not all that much more violent than Kill Bill really).

I'm a pretty big fan of the Hitman series. There's much more to do, and many more ways to accomplish things.

Manhunt is definately fun. I rented it a couple of months back on PS2 and it's really fun to stalk your prey for that ultimate kill. For me, the most brutal killings are the machete ones. I love how he hacks into their neck, gets the blade stuck and has to yank it back out before going for the decapitation. Also, using the head as a decoy is great. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
