My Random Ideas For An Mmorpg Kinda Thing

ok, so my writing style is **** poor and for this i apologise. but bear with me.
ever since i was bout 2 ft tall. i wanted to be a gunslinging cowboy. or a bow firing indian. so yeah this is my idea.
now before i start.. i know very little about the weapons.. or the actual landscapes etc.. so this is where i would like your help...
ok so yeah.... by now im sure you have grasped the concept..ill elaborate further..
imagine being able to 'spawn' or w/e with a crummy old 6 shooter... and that is it. a dollar or two in your pocket. from there on in.. what you do and who you kill or w/e is up to you. you could range from the <a href='http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096487/' target='_blank'>Young Guns</a> idea.. and go and work for an NPC farmer... and guard his cattle from other would be thieves... and then save up and buy your own farm and make a turnover, and get caught up in the property wars.
Or go <a href='http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0244000/' target='_blank'>American Outlaws</a> stylee and for a gang (that movie is about the legendary James Gang, and you can form your own band of outlaws... like a clan kinda idea... and just go plunder and pillage... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
you can invest in the railroad... you can join the Army.
it would be played over an Enourmous area... and yeah... buildings... hell whole towns would be caputreable... either by buying them from npc's... killing exisiting owners w/e...
also.. mobility.. its a big **** world out there. you need horses. now this is what i wanted just ideas on.. how to do the horse feature?
and then, there is the other side of things... indians. *warwhoop* i have no idea how to even start on that idea.. but again being able to like get a huge amount and raid cowboy towns may be cool <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

It would be puzzle and action based, and you could get one of those cool brain scrambler things and interrogate people with them!

Also, sounds really cool. You could farm, and veggies that you grow would heal you, and there'd be Player housing, and pets. It'd be too cool para pantalones.

lol and yeah... stuff like that very open ended..
you could make your cowboy/indian dude look however you wanted... and to a degree customise your shooter... so if you did die on the field... you would lose the 'tagwork' on the pistol... such as Engravings etc

I would SO play an MMORPG like that, but it has to have interesting things to partake in and go beyond the stupidly simplistic Cowboys and "Indians" theme. I have lived in Texas all my life and from a historic perspective, there was much more to life in the west than that. Much much more.

yeah im 18.... and she sent 4 guys to ruff me up.. and i handled it... what is odd about being 18 and being able to do that? the mk23 socom... is airsoft lol... and i made jokular references to keeping it with me... cos omg how manly would i look with a 6 mm plastic ball firing toy.

I pay 60 dollars for a game, and they want me to pay 10 dollars each month for it? Are you KIDDING me? You already got your money, you corporate dogs. And it's not the equivalent of going to a ball game- at a ball game, do they reach into your pocket and take money every 10 minutes?

Read up on the Homestead Act and you realize that these people were rejected from their eastern seaboard home for whatever reason and became infected with SAPS, err Severe Acute Pioneer Spirit, and thus move westward. Also keep in mind that while the wild west was somewhat desolate compared to the Atlantic coast of the US, California was most definetly not and had expanded to a faster degree. So the wild west was really more of a wild middle. This was mainly due to the easier life in agriculture afforded by the pacific and atlantic seaboards.
So to make your game work you would have to find alternatives to simply going out and shooting everything in sight. Be sure to remember other important aspects of Western Frontier Culture:
The Railroads.
The One Room Schoolhouses.
The Cattle Industry and more importantly to your mmo The Cattle Drives.
The Influence of the Mississipi, which was vast.
The Pioneers and the Push Westward.
Conservationist efforts concerning Native Americans and the detrimental effect on it by American Expansion and greed fueled by corruption.
The Frontier Wars between Cattle Owners, Sheep Owners and Farmers and the invention of Barbed Wire.
and much much more.
