The only thing that ever really annoys me about Classic is the fact that about...10 minutes into a decent game, perhaps one side is winning a bit more than the other in fights, and boom...4 people f4 from a team because they are upset they lost a hive, or lost a hold point.
Then it auto-wins the second team and you just wasted 10minutes on nothing. I just wish people would finish the entire game.
Some of my most enjoyable experiences in Classic have been LOSING. But trying to hold out as long as you can against an onslaught.
True. Holding down the fort in the heat of combat is a most satisfying experience, in my opinion. That's why I am a Marine quite a bit, it gives a "We're pinned down and require fire support!" feel to the game.

I just LOVE to sneak up on cloaked sons a ****. Especially when you deal a one-two right into a Fade when hes looking the other way. One of them was scoping out an area underneath the floor, and I just so happened to be traveling behind him, when I ran into him. I got REALLY close and knifed the guy RIGHT in the back.
started 1.0 played like a religion all the way till 2.0, missed a few months, started 3.0b3, and now b4. still gotta say, NS is by FAR the best game i've EVER played. it is my god. devteam has made an awesome game. <3 for them. has a few bugs, but nothing that can't be fixed. CO is fun, but NS is fun-ner still. i miss a lotta things about the pre 3.0 NS.. hehehe.. like super mine spam. siege in stupid areas. /unstuck-ing my way into ludicrous locations. overall stupidity and fun. welcome to the world of NS. and i hope you have a time as great as i have.

First game I played was a combat game and I was the aliens, and I had NO idea what I was doing whatsoever... I didnt know how to turn into a fade... how the resource system worked, or anything! I just had a really beefed up level-1 unit because I upgraded everything except the species.
