    I just did a google search for 'famous ship names'

    came up with <a href='http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/name_origins1.htm' target='_blank'>this</a> website, which isnt too bad.

    And, of course, the <a href='http://www.nvr.navy.mil/' target='_blank'>US NVR</a>. Whilst im not an american, that website should have a couple nice names if you look around. Most are names of people or somesuch, but there are a few nice ones thrown in <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Haftarah of Parshat Shmini - 5761

    The Return of the Aron

    The “Aron HaE-lohim,” the “Ark of the L-rd,” is being returned triumphantly from the Philistines who had captured it, and where it had wreaked havoc on them and on their god, Dagon, to the City of David.  The Aron is placed on a new wagon, and is being led by two sons of Avinadav, Uzza and <span style='color:yellow'><b>Achio</b></span>, with <span style='color:yellow'><b>Achio</b></span> leading the oxen that are pulling the wagon, and Uzza standing closer to the Aron.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Now I'm not religious or anything, actually I made up the name Achio. But it seems the name Achio is a character in a story from the "bible?"

    Oh well my point is that them religious fellows have come up with some cool names for maps <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    oh and here the link maybe it has some nice names in it (dunno havent read it only searched for Achio <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

    if you were floating in the darkness, would you not turn towards the light?
    <a href='http://www.ras.ucalgary.ca/~gibson/starnames/starnames.html' target='_blank'>Chart of star names</a>
    Although regional naming is common in many cultures, this could also be used for backstory.
