Creating Movies From Demos

i've got some demos from older versions of NS on my HDD, so i searched for the old game versions, and found them... and here comes the problem: i want to record the graphics AND the sounds.... i already DLed Fraps for recording, but it doesnt record sounds... is there a better program which combines both functions?
or is there a good tutorial? i already used the search, but i didnt find anithing...

[Edit]: i tried a program named "Total Recorder".
It records every sound playing on my PC... but the prob is, it doesnt record NS sounds :/

    As far as I know, Fraps is decent for picking up the video, and you just have to make sure your audio record source is set properly.
    If nothing else, you might be able to get a male/male audio cable and plug the speaker out to the line-in on your sound card, and just record off of that.

    Yeah, use Fraps to record the raw material. Then use VirtualDub to codec it. And use Videomech, Vegas ect to add music and edit the clips.
