Hey,
I'm looking for a newer motherboard that can handle my hardware:

*ATX Case
*400 Watt power supply
*P4 2.4Ghz (I'm guessing the FBS is 533Mhz, can't remember)
*ATi 9800XT 256 8x AGP
*2 chips of 512 DDR 400 (3200) in Dual-Channel Mode.
*4+ IDE ports (Main hard drive is 80gig 7200 RPM)
*4+ PCI Slots
*6 USB ports
*10/100mbps Onboard-LAN

Any help on finding the right one would be great!

I'd recommend my mobo, as it has everything you want except only 2 USB slots + the 2 panel expansion possiblility dealie. Its got built in Gigabit ethernet though instead of weakly pansy 10/100. I love it, its rock solid & stable.

Now if only I could remember the actual name of the board... If you want to know more about it I can dig the box out of the closet, but if you absolutely must have 6 USB slots I don't wanna bother. :P

    Asus P4p800 deluxe

Best intel board as of now. And if you need 6 Usb ports, just buy a Usb pci card, they come now with like 6+ for almost nothing.

Micro Atx is just that, it's a very small version of reg Atx. Micro Atx is usually used in those little computer cases (see pic). They are basically a tiny motherboard.

Oh yeah, that mobo I mentioned support the 800 fsb, so look really hard for a 2.4 ghz with 800 fsb, they have them on newegg, farely cheap, or even cheaper from ebay.

    That good?

    HT, DDR400 dual-channel, 6 2.0USB's

One thing. Will this: "1 x AGP Pro/ 8X" maximize the usage of my 9800XT?

Also, I found this 2.8Ghz Cpu at 800 FBS with L2/1MB of cache!

    12 bucks more than a 2.4 at 800 FBS

The P4P800 uses an older chipset, so costs less, while the P4C800 uses a newer one, so it's more exspensive.

Also, the 2.4's overclock better then 2.8's, don't ask me why. 2.4s are known to go all the way up to 3.0 with stock heatsink.

I don't really want to overclock.
