<div class="IPBDescription">8(</div> OK, so my guitar doesn't appear to be working right. I think it's the volume nob because I've heard they're very touchy and I have a pretty worn 'n torn cheap FirstAct guitar.

I was getting very scratchy noises when I turned my volume nob for the longest time, so I just avoided touching it but I messed with it just a little tonight and now it's just "dead" no sound comes out at all, not even the scratchy sound I heard before...

hmm...

Anyone have any ideas? If it is the volume nob, can I fix that somehow myself?

Not sure, but seeing as how I know nothing about your type of guitar... I doubt it, but does your guitar use any extra circuitry (for example Afterburner) or active pickups? You'll know if you open up the body where the screw panels are, and if there's a battery... if the battery dies, you won't be getting any sound at all, so replacing that might help.
