I dont know if this is considered a h4x or not.
Delete this is its considerd a h4x so I can just uninstall Ns.

However, i have a Azura monitor, and last i check i have had it for perhaps longer then you have (5-7 years) and i have no problem seeing the screen. However, this is because i have the ATI Radeon 9800 and have adjusted the card's gamma correction to a point which i can see things visibly.
Thus, if you too have the latest hardware (which you should) you should be able to alter the card's gamma correction settings enough so that things become visible. (though pitch-black areas may still maintain their original darkness) of course, i have HL's gamma correction at it's maximum, so with monitors older then 3 or 4 years you have to either:
1) Get this [---] or a "power-strip" similar program, to alter gamma correction/contrast/brightness/etc
OR
2) Enter into your graphics cards' options and alter the gamma/brightness/contrast settings. (Control pannel -> Display -> Settings tab -> Advanced -> Explore available tabs and options)
[Edit - Cranking your gamma to higher levels may kill-off your monitor faster and may also degrade the value of color (less-vibrant, blurred, etc) so alter your graphic cards' settings and use monitor-adjusting programs at your own risk!
and this should be in the tech. forums...]
lambert makes players fullbright.
no it doesn't...
Is there a Lambert script or something, all i can find are hacks with aimbot etc which will just get me banned. (Which is not the point)
Gamma cranking to be able to see your game clearly != h4x
Gamma cranking just to see cloaked skulks == ABOOS!
In short : Go with Powerstrip, don't go for lamberts. Lamberts can get you as easily banned as aimbots do.
besides making all the models really bright it makes it so when aliens are cloaked you can still see them as if they arent cloaked at all
Brightness up a bit
Contrast down a bit
----------
Thats gives me about right gamma in NS I would say :x

So by your logic, Half-Life shipped with hacks? GG.
Lambert brightens models.
but alas, this is still a hack.. model brightness, or full white, it's a hack and would get you banned if you could find a stand-alone lambert hack...
i sugess you crank the gamme in-game and not go looking for hacks...

For the last time, lambert is a feature IN hacks, its not a hack. It just brightens the models. I needed it along with powerstrip on my old **** monitor to even see.

Putting your brightness up can damage your monitor (so they say), however Ive got a cheapo 17' and I've been abusing my brightness settings for years, never done anything to harm mine.
And I mean, whats the point in even having the monitor if you cant see notin?
CRANK THE ******** UP!
thats what I say.

yes it does brighten models, that is disputable as to whether or not that is considered a hack
but in addition to brightning models it totally negates alien cloaking making them 100% visible even when they are cloaked, that is why lambert should be considered a cheat in ns

Also note, combining white walls with lambert is extremely effective.
You can use <a href='http://www.entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm' target='_blank'>PowerStrip</a> along with the <a href='http://www.gorgerush.net/chris/gamma_tune.exe' target='_blank'>NS Gamma Tuner</a> in order to properly tune your brightness and contrast for NS.
