<div class="IPBDescription">No, not another bad Lucas film</div> Alright.. I need your help, BADLY!

For the past.. couple weeks, I've been having problems installing large files. I keep getting CRC errors for no good reason. (And the Error varies each time). I get the error while trying to install games such as: Operation Flashpoint (And all of it's expansions), Battlefield: Vietnam, and KNIGHT Online.

This is odd... I need some help! Argh!

-ASUS P4C800-E Delux (AI Series) +Drivers and Updated BIOS

-Intel 2.80GHZ P4 with Hyperthreading
-Twin Sticks of 512mb Corsair DDR Ram
-Promise 2+0 Stripe /RAID0 SCSI Disk Device (Harddrive)

Anyways, thanks in advance,

    Broken/damaged harddrive. Do a full scan on it and make sure it search for bad clusters.
    I had an IBM-hdd, and after about 50% of the files on it had CRC-errors, it died and became unusable.

    When I was getting CRC errors it turned out
    that they were being caused by a dodgy motherboard.
    (Asrock) and dodgy RAM can be a cause too.
    If you've got 2 sticks of RAM, try taking one out and
    doing the installer again.

    I don't like ASUS boards, even though they get good rates, I've tried a few in the past and they all had problems. I'm a loyal Gigabyte user. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I really don't know, but like everyone else says, run scandisk & defrag for good measure. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    In the recent past, ASUS mobos have been picky about their RAM. I can't make any comment on current models.
